Every Day Unto Itself

It's truly amazing how different every day is from the next one when you live a free lifestyle. I admit that I have created a life where I work when I want and do things as I need too. In actuality, I think that I work more then most people, but it's when I want and what I want to do. Of course, one of my favorite things to do is to reflect and then write. I'd actually like to spend more time writing my music and writing fiction.
But, I truly like to write information that helps other people, which is why I write about health, fitness and wellness.
The key is most definitely in the mind and our emotions and how we process our experiences. I believe that we can manipulate the physical plain and actually form the cells of our body with our thoughts. This is a stretch to many people, but I've seen this in action.
I was reminded of this today when I was talking to a couple of lovely guys at a skin rejuvination clinic. One of them had worked for Tony Robbins and we were discussing interesting mind/body topics, including firewalking (yes, I have firewalked and so has one of the guys I talked to).
Firewalking is an intensely euphoric experience. I rarely discuss it and don't want to go into details here unless someone comments that they want more info. You see, I took it as a very personal transformational process for me to internalize, but if helps anyone to hear about it, let me know.
thanks everyone! you really can have the life and body of your dreams: http://www.magicalmindbody.com

The Mind and Healing The Body

I know first hand that there is alot of research going on about the mind and emotions and how they create what the body experiences, from disease to pain and so forth.
There will be more information available to the public in about 3 years, but in the mean time, how do we really harness this power.
I believe that quiet meditation has alot to do with it. However, there is so much external input, that even when we quiet our minds, it doesn't seem to be enough, at least not for me.
I try to have a balanced and interesting approach to life and experience as many aspects as possible. This is great, but for me, it means taking the time to process new things and it also means sleep. Sleep is when we integrate our thought and what we learn. Most of us don't get enough of it. I know I'd like more sleep, but then I don't have enough time to have the experiences that I want.
just tired... but looking forward to new things!

"The Secret" and Manifestation

"The Secret" is getting lots of National Attention, especially since it was shown on "The Oprah Winfrey Show." I'm glad that a movie of a metaphysical spiritual nature is getting out there. This really gives lots of exposure to positive thinking ect...

However, as I alluded to in a previous post, "The Secret" has a strong focus on materialism and manifestation. There is nothing wrong with this, but "the journey" or path to manifestation is as important as or possibly more important then manifestation. "The Secret" kind of fails to make this point if you're not looking for it.

I'm all about the power of visualization and sell visualization recordings and teach and lecture on this topic as well.

I think the man that regenerated his body made the most powerful point. One really good thing about the movie is that it will open people up to their personal power.

This is very important information and I have a whole website on it that include a newsletter called The Blisslist that sends out free loving wishes to those who join it. The website is

State of Feeling

Sometimes we really need to stop and get a hold on our "state of feeling" before we perform a task. This can range from simply calling customer support for something to requesting something at your local store.
Real life example: I saw a sale on something that I wanted to buy at the drugstore in our Sunday Circular. I went to the store to buy it and didn't see it. When I inquired about it, the girl behind the counter didn't know what a Circular was. I tried to explain it, calling it the pull out from the Sun. paper or the ad from it. She said, "Do you mean the coupons"
This went on for about 5 minutes. It was kind of exasberating and it took a tremendously long time for the girl to understand what I was talking about. When she finally "got it" she pulled the advertisement that I was talking about out. I told her what I was looking for, which I couldn't find. She said that they didn't sell that product. I actually had to point to the ad to show her that they did. She then looked to see if they had it and they were out. This concluded with her grudgingly giving me a raincheck.
Now, I admit that I was loosing my patience while this was happening. It was morning and I was pretty tired, not a good state for me. I don't think that anything would have been different with this girl, but I at least would have started laughing if I hadn't been in a tired state.
A week later I went in with my raincheck and they still didn't have it. I finally got someone to tell me that the item comes in on Sat.. I'm not in the area on Sat.'s, I explained. This got me no where and I left the store vowing to stay away from there for a while.
OK, it's a month later and I finally want back in because they are in a convienent location to where I sometimes work. I got in line. It was the afternoon and the workers were a different crew. When I presented my raincheck, I explained to the clerk that the item is never there when I come in. She replied that it comes in on Sat.. I told her that I'm not in the area on Sat.s. I smiled the whole time (sincerely) and told her this was my third shot at it. She told me to call the manager to see what he could do. I asked if he was there, and he happened to be walking by. It was his day off but he stopped to talk to me. He told me that he was new and would personally order extra bottles of what I wanted. When he walked away, the clerk and I laughed and she wrote me a new raincheck, but for 2 bottles.
What's the message: smile, patience, persistence.
sometimes things won't go your way, but it's much cooler to laugh about it

Magical Mind Body: It's Feb. 28 2007

Wow! It's almost March. I would have liked to have posted before this but for some reason, I couldn't sign into my blog! It's out of beta now, so maybe that affected things.

Here's the point of this posting. Our thoughts are everything. I'm not sure if our feelings create our thought or our thoughts create our feelings and I'd love to hear comments on this. Either way, our mind stuff triggers and creates our body stuff in a HUGE way.

Boy oh boy. I use a large part of everyday getting focused so that this all flows well. I have to admit that I'm getting over a respiratory thing. I'm grateful that it never was a bad infection, but it's been enough to be very bothersome and it's kept me from some of my activities. What's worse is that I beat myself up on getting "sick" in the first place. Sometimes, I think I just need time to slow down because my the changes in my life come at lightening speed and I just need to get grounded. When I don't, a sniffle comes along to "force" the issue.

However, I and none of you reading this needs to be that hard on ourselves. I fulheartedly embrace books like, "The Power of Now" for information on thought power but we all need to examine information like this and see how it fits for us as individuals. Not all of that book resonated with me but I did especially like the section on relationships.

I will post more to this blog now that I'm back in it and send relevant information that I see online to it.

If anyone happens to find my little blog, please check out my corresponding website. It has a cool free newsletter that sends out great inspirational tips to help people changet their bodies and their lives. It's called http://www.magicalmindbody.com

I wish you the magic to have the life and body of your dreams!

Healing Pain With The Power Of The Mind

I'm exceedingly grateful that I was taught how to use guided imagery at the young age of 16. I've used it through out my life to help me achieve goals (winning bodybuilding contests, performing well) and for healing both myself and others.
I've had back problems for almost 20 years but rarely have pain even though some of my discs are herniated. I credit that to exercise that I do, some of are based in yoga. I also believe that my daily practice of meditation and guided imagery have gone a long way in keeping my back pain to a minimum.

Magical Mind Body: "The Love You Make..." The Beatles

The Magical Mind Body is for me to rant, rave and share my ruminations about the mind/body connections, spirituality and the Universe. Tonight I'm considering love. Love is magic. We usually think of magical love as more of the connection we make on a more hormonal basis then an actual "love" basis. But who am I to define love? It's easy as a woman to think that they love a man after they have sex with them a few times. I've noticed from the true confessions that I get from guys that it doesn't always quite work that way with them.
The point of this post, which I ignored with the paragraph above is "The love you make is equal to the love you take" written to beautifully by The Beatles. I don't know why it took me so long to understand this statement, but it's a great lyric that truly gives me great comfort and validation. I feel and love people pretty genuinely which can lead to heartbreak but it doesn't for me. Really, the love that I "make" or give to people is the love that I "take". I don't mean that in the "reap as you sow" sense. I mean it in that when you love people unconditionally, you are loving yourself unconditionally as well. In my world, that's magical.
